Pokémon Unite Inteleon Guide: Inteleon and its movesets

As expected, Inteleon has a combination of Water-type and several other types of moves, which proves how flexible Inteleon was in terms of movesets, in the anime. Here are the details of those movesets in Pokémon Unite.

Basic Attack

It becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing increased damage with an increased critical-hit rate.

Passive- Sniper

The Pokémon deals increased damage to opposing Pokemon when it lands a critical hit. When the Pokémon is near a wall, it becomes camouflaged and opposing Pokémon are unable to target it. The Pokémon gains one critical counter whenever a set amount of time passes while camouflaged (up to a maximum of 3 counters). When a critical counter is consumed, the Pokémon’s next basic attack or move that has a set chance of becoming a critical hit is guaranteed to be a critical hit.

Ability 1- Tearful Look

  • Type-
  • CD-

Ability 1 upgrades at Level 5

At Level 5, the move evolves into either of these 2 moves based on the choice:

Fell Stinger Acrobatics
The skill will see the Pokémon having a sharp stinger in the designated direction, dealing damage to the opposing Pokémon it hits. If the stinger hit a wall, the Pokémon moves to the point the stinger hit, and this move’s cooldown is reduced. If the stinger hits an opposing Pokémon or a wall, the Pokémon gains one critical counter.

Type– Dash
CD-
7s
The skill will see the Pokémon gliding in the designated direction, and if the user hits an opposing Pokémon or wall, it can glide in a designated direction again. If the user hits an opposing Pokémon while gliding, the user deals damage to it and decreases its movement speed. Every time this move is used, the user gains one critical counter. This move can also be used while attacking with Liquidation.

Type-Dash
CD-
8s
Upgrade: Reduces this move’s cooldown. Upgrade: Increases the first glide’s travel distance.

Ability 2- Water Gun

  • Type- Ranged
  • CD- 7s

The skill will see the Pokémon squirting water, dealing damage to the opposing Pokémon it hits. This move has a set chance of becoming a critical hit.

Ability 2 upgrades at Level 7

At Level 7, Water Gun evolves into either of these 2 moves, based on choice.

Snipe Shot Liquidation
The Pokémon will aim in the designated direction for a set amount of time and then fire a water projectile, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon it hits while partially ignoring their Sp. Def. The farther away the user is from the opposing Pokemon it hits, the more damage this move does. This move has a set chance of becoming a critical hit. A maximum of three (3) uses can be kept in reserve for this move.

Pokémon will continually fire water projectiles from both hands, dealing damage to the designated opposing Pokemon it hits. If this move hits 5 times within a short period of time. damage the opposing Pokemon takes from the user’s attacks will be increased for a short time. This move has a set chance of becoming a critical hit. This move can be used while moving via Acrobatics.
Upgrade:  Decreases the time it takes to store a use of this move. Upgrade: Increases the number of water projectiles fired.

Unite Move- Azure Spy Vision

For a short time, enables the user to see nearby Pokemon that are in stealth or hiding in tall grass. Also doubles the user’s critical-hit rate, and the user gains one critical counter whenever a set amount of time passes. Shield granted, movement speed and basic attack speed increased for a short time, after using the move.

Pokémon Unite Inteleon Gameplay Tips

Our Pokémon Unite Inteleon guide includes the perfect game plan for the early and late games during the Unite battles.

Early Game

Farm exp. and secure as many wild Pokemon to level up quickly. If enemies are aggressively pushing early game, assist allies in defending the lane. Otherwise, assist allies in pushing lanes, score some points, and get to level 5 quickly. Learn Water Gun first and secure Xatu quickly then learn Tearful Look upon reaching level 3. Clear the first wave of jungle camps and reach level 5 as soon as possible and learn Fell Stinger or Acrobatics. Help the top lane first by securing Altaria and Swablus, getting kills, and scoring points.

Late Game

Inteleon is equipped with two powerful burst attacks and both are different from each other in terms of cooldown, damage dealt, and speed. Liquidation is a rapid-fire type of burst attack where Inteleon shoots rapidly at a single enemy. It has a better potential of dealing enough damage, than Snipe Shot, hence choose wisely. Whereas, Snipe Shot is a very slow but powerful move, opposite to what Liquidation does and is perfect if one does love sniping enemies from a safe distance. It’s akin to a very powerful shotgun with very slow reload times. snipe from being close to walls for better results.

Start a combo by quickly moving near a wall using Fell Stinger, which will trigger Sniper’s camouflage and critical counter mechanic, then immediately start charging Snipe Shot while aiming for the target. Use the Unite move Azure Spy Vision during teamfights and Rayquaza spawn. Initiate a teamfight by sniping or kiting an enemy Pokemon hiding in the tall grass. One can let their teammates know by pinging on the map to gather at the enemy’s hiding spot and plan an ambush on them to secure the teamfight.

Positioning of Inteleon

Try to go to the mid lane initially, to level up quickly, atleast to Level 7 at the earliest. Players can then switch between lanes.

Inteleon with other Pokémon

Our Pokémon Unite guide will also look at the combination of Inteleon with other Pokémon during Unite battles.

Pokémon Unite Inteleon Guide: Tips, tricks and strategies

This guide will also discuss some tips and tricks for playing the defender Inteleon in Pokémon Unite.

  •  Camouflage near walls with Sniper, the ability. Stay near walls to gain critical hit stacks.
  • Fell Stinger is best used for clinging onto walls to gain critical stacks.
  • Partnering Acrobatics with Liquidation is great because Inteleon gets a critical stack by using Acrobatics, and using Liquidation means hitting an enemy consecutively with critical hits per shot.
  • Avoid solo ventures, and be a team player.
  • Lastly, players must avoid using it much in Ranked matches until they master all of its moves and playing style. They should use offline mode or Standard Battles as their Practice Arena.

Final Thoughts

A rival to the Unite veteran sniper Decidueye might make the lovers of this play style all excited. However, as a sniper, for us, Decidueye still would be on top. Players can now wait for the 2nd-anniversary celebrations begins, as we also await the arrival of Mewtwo!
