With a goal to amuse the globe with unforgettable RPGs, Azra Games, a game firm run by seasoned game designer Mark Otero, has welcomed Justin Jones as the VP of Game Design. As VP of Design, Justin will be in charge of Project Legends’ design. This action role-playing game is set in a sci-fi fantasy environment and lets players build and command enormous war vehicles.
Justin has worked on successful projects for popular titles such as Dragon Age, Game of Thrones, and Star Wars
Having worked on successful projects for well-known franchises like Dragon Age, Game of Thrones, and Star Wars, Justin has more than 15 years of experience designing RPG, collectible, and strategy games. His best-known work was as the initial Lead Designer and then Creative Director on the top-grossing Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, which is still EA‘s most lucrative mobile title of all time with $1.5B in total lifetime revenue.
Justin has experience working on a variety of IPs and teams, from collaborating with major corporations like Disney, BioWare, and HBO to creating the classic mobile strategy game Battle Nations for Z2 (later acquired by King.) He co-founded Moon Tavern Games to bring the nostalgia, purpose, and craft of vintage RPGs and adventure games to smartphones, and most recently he worked as vice president of creative at Scopely.
“I’m excited to join a team of deep-knowledge RPG experts, many of whom I’ve worked alongside before, to pioneer the next-gen of Hero Collector RPGs and craft our own world, characters, and stories. My love for this genre and its history runs deep, and at Azra Games we are crafting the gameplay experience we, as players, long for in today’s market. I’m looking forward to fulfilling our mission to entertain the world with unforgettable RPGs.” he concluded.
