Genshin Impact Version 4.0 update has brought a new set of enemies for both Floor 09 and Floor 10 in the Spiral Abyss. Since these are the topmost floors of the Abyss, ensure that you have units that are at least sufficiently built for the teams they are in. In this guide, we will explain the new changes in the current Spiral Abyss, how to clear Floor 9 and Floor 10 in the current Genshin Impact 4.0 patch update, and the most optimal teams that can be used.

Ley Line Disorder: After a character triggers a Vaporize reaction, the Vaporize reaction DMG for that character is increased by 50% for 5s.
Chamber 1
First Half
- In the first wave, 3 enemies spawn on each side of the arena (6 enemies in the first wave). Go to either side, whichever you prefer, and focus on defeating the 3 enemies first.
- In the second wave, 3 enemies will again spawn on each side of the arena (6 enemies in the second wave). All the enemies can catch up to you easily except for Arithmetic Enhancer Mek which is a tiny bit slower than others. Similar to the previous wave, go to any side that you prefer and focus on defeating them first while letting the other side chase after you.
- The Arithmetic Enhancer (Ousia) is the support Meka and the one you should focus on first among the Clockwork Meka. If there is an Ousia-aligned Clockwork Meka near the Enhancer, it enters support mode and increases its RES to all DMG by 20%.
Second Half
- In the first wave, all 3 enemies spawn near each other at the front of the arena. Head straight to the front area so you can attack them first. Focus on the Harvester Mek first.
- In the second wave, all 4 enemies spawn in the front area. Focus on the Arithmetic Enhancer Mek (Pneuma) first.
- The Assault Specialist Mek (Pneuma), specializes in dealing Pyro DMG, and even dashes in your direction if you’re too far so that’s a benefit to you since it will come willingly
Chamber 2
First Half
- In the first wave, 3 enemies spawn on each side of the arena. The enemy combination here can make your characters Freeze so try to avoid their attacks as much as possible.
- In the second wave, all enemies spawn far from each other. The enemy combination here is yet another one that can freeze your character. Defeat the Annihilation Specialist Mek (Ousia) first.
- Aside from dealing with Hydro DMG, Annihilation Specialist Mek (Ousia) can also summon an Area Alert Mek (Ousia) that can deal with Cryo DMG. If you defeat the Annihilation Specialist Mek first, the Area Alert Mek will automatically be defeated.
Second Half
- In the first wave, all enemies spawn far from each other. All the enemies here can only deal with Pyro DMG. Prioritize the Pyro Slime at the middle back. Once you head there, the other 2 Pyro Slimes will also chase after you. If you bring any AoE Hydro DPS or Support, it’s better to focus on the Sternshield Crab to take its Pyro shield down.
- In the second wave, all enemies still spawn far from each other. The enemy combination here can trigger an Overloaded reaction, making your character blown away if they are affected. Focus on the Annihilation Specialist Mek (Pneuma) first because it’s the only enemy that can deal with Electro DMG. Once it’s gone, you don’t have to worry about being Overloaded again.
Chamber 3
First Half
- There is an amplifier in the middle of the arena that will buff the enemies while also afflicting them with Hydro. You can remove those buffs by triggering an elemental reaction, but, you need to hit many times for the buff to be removed. The best method to remove these buffs is by using a Pneuma character and attacking the Enhancer using their Arkhe attack in the middle.
- In the first wave, both enemies spawn near each other at the front of the area. Head to the right side of the area so you can prepare for the second wave.
- In the second wave, Mirror Maiden will spawn on the left side while the Mek will spawn on the right side of the arena. Focus on the Suppression Specialist Mek (Ousia) because it walks extremely slowly to chase after you. Mirror Maiden will usually teleport near the Mek, but not too near to your location so you need to sprint towards her,
Second Half
- All enemies spawn far from each other but they will catch up to you. When the challenge starts, go to either one of the Pyro Agents and get really close to him so his 3 Pyro spinning knives can’t hit you.
- The Stealth mode will make the Agents invisible. The Enhancer will buff enemies while also afflicting them with Pyro. Same as in the first half, you can destroy the Enhancer permanently by using an Ousia character’s attack.
- When the Annihilation Specialist Mek (Pneuma) gets near you, quickly change the target to the Mek and defeat it first because they can deal with Electro DMG. Once the Mek is defeated, you don’t have to worry about being Overloaded again.
- Aside from dealing with Electro DMG, the Annihilation Specialist Mek (Pneuma) can also summon an Area Alert Mek (Pneuma) that can deal with Hydro DMG. The Mek has a very low HP so you can easily defeat it once it appears.
Optimal Team Comps to use on Floor 09 in Genshin Impact 4.0 Update Spiral Abyss
In the First Half, all the Clockwork Meka enemies are Ousia-Type so if you have any Pneuma-type characters you can bring them along. In addition, there are Hydro Slime and Hydro Mimic Boar in Chamber 2, so a Pyro DPS would be best here to take advantage of the Ley Line Bonus. Even if your team does not create a Vaporize reaction, having a Pyro character here is important because there are some enemies with Cryo shields, and having a Pyro can easily remove that shield.
In the Second Half, all the Clockwork Meka enemies are Pneuma-Type and the only Ousia character available in the current version 4.0 is Lynette. In Chamber 2, there are a few Pyro Slime so you can bring at least one Hydro character to take advantage of the Vaporize DMG bonus and remove Pyro shield from some enemies.

Ley Line Disorder: The character deals 50% increased DMG to opponents affected by Hydro.
Chamber 1
First Half
- There is only one wave here and in this wave, all enemies spawn far from each other except the 3 at the front. Those 3 at the front are very slow so you need to approach them instead. When the challenge starts, go to either Pyroslinger Bracer. All the Treasure Hoarders will chase after you so don’t worry about them and focus on the Fatui first.
- Nimble Harvester Mek (Ousia) doesn’t really pose a threat. The Fatui Pyroslinger is more troublesome because it can create a Pyro shield around himself (which can be removed easily if you bring a Hydro character).
Second Half
- There is only one wave here and in this wave, all enemies spawn near each other and all of them are Pneuma-type.
- When the challenge starts, go to the front area and let your back face the wall. This is because the Construction Specialist Mek has the ability that let it charge forward, leaving behind the other Meks.
- Prioritize the 2 Geological Survey Meks because they have far less HP and with how big the Construction Mek is, it should be able to take some collateral damage.
Chamber 2
First Half
- In the first wave, 3 Specters spawn at the front and back areas of the arena. You can choose to focus on which one first, but make sure to stay in the middle of the arena. You can also bring an Anemo CC.
- In the second wave, all Shrooms spawn far from each other, and based on your previous location when defeating enemies in wave 1, go to the nearest Shroom and focus on them while the others will chase after you.
Second Half
- All enemies spawn near each other in the front area of the arena. Once you start the challenge, go after the Vishap in the middle of the three and focus on it.
- After the big one is defeated, you can focus on the 2 smaller ones if they’re still alive.
- One of the Vishap’s skills you need to watch out for is the Cleansing Shower. Characters hit by their Cleansing Shower attack will lose a certain amount of Elemental Energy. If your characters do not have sufficient Elemental Energy, they will lose HP.
Chamber 3
First Half
- In the first and only wave, all enemies spawn far from each other. You should prioritize the Eremite Stone Enchanter at the front because it didn’t chase after you as fast as the Sunfrosts.
- Right from the start, the Stone Enchanter will enter an enhanced state and summon his spirit animal crocodile. If your DPS can’t break through his now-increased RES, the best move is to kill the spirit animal first.
Second Half
- Immediately head to the front of the arena and let your back face the wall. It’s to prevent the Ruin Graders from using a charged attack and rush forward, making it stray far away from the other Ruin Graders.
Optimal Team Comps to use on Floor 10 in Genshin Impact 4.0 Update Spiral Abyss
Since the Ley Line Disorder provides a 50% DMG bonus when your characters are attacking Hydro-affected enemies, bringing along at least one Hydro character is really beneficial for the whole floor. Bringing along one Anemo CC is definitely gonna make the whole battle easier.
If you only have one Anemo CC and want to bring them along, bring them to the First Half because it has many mobs that can be crowd-controlled compared to the Second Half. It’s better if you bring a single-target DPS in the Second Half because there are not many mobs here.
