Verdict of Blades is a combat event in the Genshin Impact Version 4.0 Update. The duration of this event is from the 4th of September, 2023 to the 18th of September, 2023. Once the event has started, a new challenge will be unlocked each day. Let’s break down those challenges one by one.

Requirements
- Adventure Rank 20 or above
- Complete the Archon Quest Prologue Chapter Act 3: “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”
Starting The Challenges
The event is available from the event page, there is no associated quest. Press “event details” from the event page. It will show a list of the challenges available. Click on “Go to challenge” and it will show the location of the challenge. Go to this location and interact with the challenge mechanism to start a challenge.
Genshin Impact Verdict of Blades Event: Gameplay Guide and Tips
There are a total of six challenges. Each challenge has two modes, Surge and Steadfast. Surge has three difficulty levels, Perilous, Quandary, and Desperate. Completing it at a higher difficulty will automatically complete the lower difficulties. Steadfast unlocks after completing Surge at Desperate (hardest) difficulty. Each challenge has two completion criteria, the time limit and the total number of enemies to be defeated.
Once the event has started, a new challenge will be unlocked each day. Each challenge will provide a unique buff, so make sure to take advantage of it.
No trial characters will be provided, you will have to use your own characters. Do not worry if you are not strong enough to complete harder difficulties, the Primogem reward is handed out after completing it at Perilous (easiest) difficulty. Meanwhile, the Steadfast mode is completely optional.
