He is a unique hero with a relatively slow attack speed, but his high damage output and mobility more than compensate for that. Brody is a powerful hero in the early game, and his damage only increases as the game goes on. Brody is a Marksman hero who excels at dealing high damage to single targets. His abilities all have relatively low cooldowns, which allows him to harass and poke enemies constantly. Brody is also a very mobile hero, thanks to his second skill. In this Mobile Legends guide, we will take a look at the best emblem, spells, and builds, including tips and tricks to dominate every game with Brody.

Skill Analysis

Brody is a hero with the common four skill sets of one passive and three actives. In this Brody guide, let’s see what are his abilities in Mobile Legends, and when you can use which skill to get the best out of him.

Passive – Abyss Corrosion (Buff)

With his Basic Attacks resonating with the Abyss Power within his body, Brody is able to move while winding up his Basic Attacks (which will be interrupted when casting skills), at the cost of having longer Basic Attack Animation and lower Attack Speed. Each Basic attack deals (+45 × Hero Level) (+140% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage (of which the damage scaling with level cannot be critical), increases Movement Speed by 30% (which will decay rapidly in 1.2 seconds), and inflicts 1 stack of Abyss Mark on the enemy, capped at 4 stacks. It marks applied last for 8 seconds.
Each stack of Abyss Mark increases Brody’s damage against the target by 5% and his Movement Speed by 5%.

Skill 1 – Abyss Impact (AoE, Slow)

Brody launches a shock wave in the designated direction, dealing 150–550 (+170% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage, slowing the enemies by 30% for 1.2 seconds, and applying 1 stack of Abyss Mark.
As the shock wave travels, for each enemy it hits, it deals an extra 10% damage, inflicts an extra 5% slow effect, and applies an additional stack of Abyss Mark, capped at 130% damage, 45% slow effect, and 4 stacks. This skill deals only 80%-100% damage to minions.

Brody dashes to an enemy, dealing 200–350 (+70% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to the target, stunning the target for 0.8 seconds, and inflicting 1 stack of Abyss Mark on the target. Upon hitting the target, he is able to move one more time in the movement direction, gaining 45% Movement Speed that will decay rapidly in 1.2 seconds.

Skill 3 – Torn-Apart Memory (Burst, AoE)

Brody locks on all the targets within 8 yard(s), dealing 340–580 (+180% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to them. If the target has an Abyss Mark, all Abyss Marks will be reset, dealing 136–232 (+72% Extra Physical Attack) (+target’s 4%–6% Lost HP) Physical Damage for each stack the target has.

Skill Up Methods for Brody

Unlock skill 1 first and upgrade it to the max level, upgrade skill 2 accordingly, and Ultimate whenever available. His first skill is his main damage source.

Best Emblem Set and Spells for Brody in Mobile Legends

Emblem Set

To make Brody’s gameplay more effective in the Gold lane, players are expected to use the Custom Assassin Emblem for Extra penetration and high damage. Players can use whichever Talent suits them best for their gameplay.

The Custom Assassin Emblem ever since its Revamp, provides players with access to 3 different talents. Hence, for the Bordy Emblem setup, the following setup is expected of players :

  • In the First-tier Talent, we choose Rapture as it provides extra Physical PEN, primarily valuable for the Early game. Penetration from the common emblem is very useful for Brody as it gives a lot of damage along with Brody’s base skill damage.
  • In the Second tier Talent, players should pick Master Assassin. This talent will increase by 5% damage when there is no enemy hero nearby. This talent will increase the potential of Freya in solo laning.
  • In the Third Tier Talent, players can pick the killing spree as it restores 10% max HP and increases movement speed after killing enemies. This talent will also help Freya to survive when her health is very low. Lethal Ignition is also a good option for Brody as it gives more damage on multiple attacks.

Battle Spells

The only spell we recommend is Flicker. He is a very fragile hero so Flicker will definitely help him out to escape from any unwanted situations. One thing to be clear is that without Skill 2 Brody does not have any escape skill, so if the enemy team picks too many CC heroes you can use Purify instead of Flicker.

Best Builds for Brody in Mobile Legends

Brody is one of the best marksmen to deal high burst damage from the early game. His base skill damage is very high compared to other marksman in the game. He can build extra defence items to sustain more in the team fights without losing much damage output.

The Warrior/Tough Boots choice is a good one, as it allows you to choose the right boots for the enemy team composition. Warrior Boots will give you more armour and physical defence, while Tough Boots will give you more magic defence. Blade of the Heptaseas is a great item for early damage and penetration. It will help you to take down enemies quickly, even if they have built some defence. Blade of Despair is a great item for maximum basic attack damage. It will help you to kill low HP enemies quickly and easily. Malefic Roar is a great item for countering defence items. It will help you to deal more damage to enemies who have built a lot of armour or magic defence.

Wind of Nature is a great item for avoiding physical attacks and outplaying the enemy. It will give you immunity to physical attacks for a short period of time, which can be very useful in teamfights. Immortality is a great item for a higher survival rate. It will give you a second life after you die, which can be very helpful in teamfights. Adding Rose Gold Meteor to your Brody build is a great idea. It is a defensive item that provides physical attack, magical defence, and a shield that scales with your physical attack. This makes it a great item for Brody, as it gives him both offensive and defensive capabilities. Rose Gold Meteor is especially useful in teamfights, as the shield can help you to survive longer and deal more damage to enemies. It is also a good item for countering burst damage heroes, such as Fanny and Gusion.

Overall, this is a well-rounded item build that will give you everything you need to be successful with Brody.

Mobile Legends Brody Gameplay Tips

Brody is one of the most popular and strong heroes in the gold lane to go against. He can dominate his lane from the early game. He is very strong in 1v1 situations so he can do very well without any support from tanks. To play him perfectly, you must have to choose your lane wisely and focus on buying core items. Our Mobile Legends Brody guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero.

Early Game

At level one unlock your skill 1 and go to Gold lane. While laning try to hit enemies through the minion wave with your first skill. If players had done this correctly, they could have instantly stacked 4 abyss marks which will increase Brody’s damage output.

Do not chase for kills, Brody can poke enemies very often so use it to make them recall and in that meantime, you will get a free gold advantage. As a gold laner, you have to push the turret whenever you get the chance. Use your skills on Jungle monsters and minions to farm faster. Try to last hit the minions to get more gold from the minion waves.

Mid Game

Players should not fall behind in the economy. The main damage will come from the build, so they should try to complete it and focus on the farm. They should not initiate unnecessary fights, instead of that do a quick rotation in mid-lane to execute a successful gank with your mage.

Skill 1 + Basic Attack + Skill 2 + Basic Attack

Use your skill 2 on target to quickly change your position while roaming or attacking. In this period don’t play too aggressively.

Late Game

In this phase, Brody will shine the most. Try to stay with your tank. Follow your minimap before ganking. Do not ever use your ultimate first, try to hit it when enemies are low on HP.

Skill 1 + Basic Attack + Skill 2 + Basic Attack + Skill 3

It will deal more damage to them at that moment. Try to use lock-on mode on dot life enemies and use your Ultimate to secure kills. If you want the quality to sustain, then always build a Life-steal item.

Final Thoughts

Brody is a powerful marksman hero in Mobile Legends. He has high burst damage and can easily take down enemies in a few seconds. He is also very mobile, making it difficult for enemies to catch him. However, Brody also has some weaknesses. He has a slow attack speed and is relatively squishy. This means that he needs to be careful in teamfights and avoid getting caught out. He also needs to be careful of enemy crowd control, as this can disable him and make him vulnerable. Overall, Brody is a very strong hero in the right hands. He can easily carry games and lead his team to victory. However, he is also a high-skill hero, so players need to practice with him before using him in ranked matches.
