Fortnite is currently busy with their yearly Halloween-themed event known as Fortnitemares. During this event, they release several spooky skins, weapons, items, and so on for players to rejoice in the holiday spirit. Various items such as the Witch Broom, Thorne’s Vampiric Blade, and Pumpkin Launcher have been released for the players to acquire and provide them with a unique advantage over other players. Another new weapon that is being added as a part of Fortnitemares 2023 is the Wood Stake Shotgun which as the name suggests is the best weapon against vampires, so here’s how players can get their hands on it on Fortnite.
Introducing the Wood Stake Shotgun in Fortnitemares 2023
The Wood Stake Shotgun is not like any other gun in Fortnite as unlike them, it fires wooden stakes instead of actual bullets. This concept comes from the lore that vampires die if they are attacked with a wooden stake on their heart and it goes perfectly with the Halloween theme of the event. Even though there is just one actual vampire on the whole Island during this event, players can still use this on normal enemies.
Where to find the Wood Stake Shotgun in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4
The Wood Stake Shotgun can be found randomly as floor loot, in normal chests and hollow chests. It can be found in Rare, Epic, or Legendary rarities if players acquire it in this way. They can also buy the weapon for 250 Gold Bars from Joni the Red, who is an NPC that can be found at Kenjutsu Crossing.
There’s also a chance for the players to get hold of the Mythic version of the weapon which is known as the High Stake’s Shotgun. This can happen if they are successful in defeating Revenant Kado Thorne as sometimes he drops this weapon as loot after being killed.
The weapon has little damage drop-off as it fires wood stakes and also only four pieces of ammunition in its magazine. As the fire rate of the gun is slow and has only four stakes in its magazine, players need to be accurate with their aim to not waste their chances.
