Genshin Impact Version 4.1 Phase 2 banners will go live on the 17th of October, 2023 at 18:00 Server time and will last till the 7th of November, 2023 at 14:59 server time. Version 4.1 phase 2 banners will debut one new 5* character.

Genshin Impact version 4.1 Phase 2 First Character Banner: Tempestuous Destiny

This banner debuts the new event-exclusive 5* character “Emissary of Solitary Iniquity” Wriothesley (cryo/catalyst). He is the first Cryo Catalyst user to become playable since the beginning of Genshin Impact. He will surely bring a new playstyle to the table.

Wriothesley will be accompanied by the 4-star characters “Frozen Ardor” Chongyun (cryo/claymore), “Protector From Afar” Thoma (pyro/polearm), and “Treasure of Dream Garden” Dori (electro/claymore) who will also receive a huge drop-rate boost.

All of these 4* characters are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.

Genshin Impact version 4.1 Phase 2 Second Character Banner: Ballad in Goblets

This banner features the fourth rerun of “Windborne Bard” Venti (anemo/bow), the Anemo Archon. Upon release, he was considered the best Anemo support character. While that position is attributed to Kaedehara Kazuha nowadays, Venti is still absurdly broken where he can be utilized.

Venti will be accompanied by the 4-star characters “Frozen Ardor” Chongyun (cryo/claymore), “Protector From Afar” Thoma (pyro/polearm), and “Treasure of Dream Garden” Dori (electro/claymore) who will also receive a huge drop-rate boost.

Genshin Impact version 4.1 Phase 2 Weapon banner: Epitome Invocation

This banner debuts the new 5* event-exclusive 5* weapon, Cashflow Supervision (catalyst). This banner also features a rerun of Elegy for the End (bow). These are the signature best-in-slot weapons for Wriothesley and Venti, respectively.

This banner also features the event-exclusive 4-star weapons Prospector’s Drill (polearm) and Range Gauge (bow) as well as the 4-star weapons Favonius Sword (sword), Rainslasher (claymore), and Eye of Perception (catalyst).

Among these 4* weapons, Favonius Sword (sword), Rainslasher (claymore), and Eye of Perception (catalyst) are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.

Final Thoughts

The banners this time around are not very promising. Wriothesley may introduce a new playstyle but he is a far cry from a must-pull character, META-wise. Venti is a much better choice but in most cases, he gets outclassed by Kazuha. The 4* characters are nothing special either. Thoma is the only one out of three. He is currently the best choice for a Burgeon team.

As for the weapons, Elegy for the End is a really good weapon to equip on supporting bow characters such as Venti, Yelan, Fischl, Gorou, Kujou Sara, etc. Among the 4* weapons, Favonius Sword has always been the go-to weapon for any support 4* character.
