Trainers can now band together and explore the Pokémon universe with friends thanks to “Party Play”, a new feature Niantic has added to Pokémon GO. This feature offers numerous advantages to improve your Pokémon GO experience and intriguing new possibilities for collaboration.

What is the Pokémon GO Party Play feature

Pokémon Go’s Party Play is a game-changer, allowing trainers to join groups of up to three friends for social interactions. A QR code or an alphanumeric code, similar to the Union Circle in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, can be used to create a team. Only being physically close to your coworkers and having acquired a minimum trainer level of 15 are prerequisites.

The Party Power gauge is steadily filled up when you and your squad engage in raid battles thanks to your numerous fast attacks. Your next charged attack deals twice as much damage when the gauge is full, making it simpler to defeat powerful foes like mega-evolved Pokémon and Shadow Raid monsters like the elusive Shiny Shadow Lugia.

Raids are only one feature of Group Play, though. Your team is encouraged to go on joint exploration expeditions because you can see each other on your overworld maps. The competitive atmosphere is maintained through a variety of contests, such as who has traveled the farthest or caught the most Pokémon. Party Play teams are temporary, so if you decide to split up or log off, you’ll need to get back in touch to carry on your shared adventures.

How to Host a Party

  • Open Pokémon GO and navigate to your Trainer profile.
  • Tap the new Party tab.
  • Tap Create.
  • You’ll be given a numerical code or QR code that you can share with up to three nearby Trainers.

Key features of Party Play feature in Pokémon GO

Here are some key elements and specifics to be aware of as you get ready for Pokémon Go Party Play:

  1. Maximum Party Size: Each Party has a maximum of four members. Even if your Party isn’t yet full, any player can ask additional members to join throughout the session.
  2. Session Limitations: Party stats do not transfer over to subsequent sessions even if you play with the same set of people.
  3. Party Challenges: At any moment, players can select one of three objectives. All team members receive the same award when the current Challenge is completed. Completing Party Challenges may also award you rare in-game goodies, like as the Party Play-exclusive Eevee avatar.

Although Party Play doesn’t have any exclusive Pokémon attached to it, the cooperative and competitive aspects of this feature promise to make Pokémon Go even more interesting and fun to use.
